This policy explains what Bluefin Travel does with personal information when you ask us for a fare, book a flight, or use www.bluefintravel.com.

Who we are

Bluefin Travel ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at [email protected], or by post at [Add your registered business address].

What we collect

  • Enquiry details — the route, dates, number of travellers, cabin and any preferences you send us, plus your name and email address.
  • Booking details — the information an airline needs to issue a ticket: full name as printed in your passport, date of birth, passport or identity document details where required, contact details, frequent-flyer numbers, and any special assistance or meal requirements you ask us to pass on.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Correspondence — the emails and messages you exchange with us, kept so we can service your booking and resolve disputes.
  • Website usage — this site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our web server keeps standard request logs (IP address, page requested, time, browser type) for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote — because you asked us to.
  • To book, issue, change or refund your ticket — to perform our contract with you.
  • To meet legal duties, including airline, immigration, tax and anti-fraud requirements.
  • To keep records of what was agreed and to defend or settle claims — our legitimate interest in running the business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.

Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to deliver the trip: the airlines and their ticketing systems, the global distribution system or consolidator through which the ticket is issued, our payment provider, and — where the law requires it — border, security and tax authorities. Some of these are outside your country, so your details may be transferred internationally; that is unavoidable in air travel, and we share only what is needed.

Special categories

If you tell us about a disability, a medical need or a dietary requirement so we can arrange assistance, we pass that to the airline for that purpose only, and keep it no longer than the trip requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 24 months. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and liability rules require — normally [Add retention period, e.g. 7 years] — and then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to booking records is limited to the people who need it. We will never ask you for card details by email, chat or social media — if you receive such a request appearing to come from us, do not reply and tell us.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
